Pat spends their day contacting customers, writing proposals and filling orders. Each day Pat makes money for the company going about networking with their customer base, and finding new customers! Salesperson Pat is great at the job and brings much value to the company.
There’s a tradeshow coming up and Pat has been told to fly out to the tradeshow two days before the show starts to setup the company booth. For those two days Pat is offline, standing around the convention center waiting for the freight to be delivered (and often trying to find out why it hasn’t yet!). The freight finally arrives and Pat now spends the afternoon building the booth. It takes many hours and Pat is still offline, not talking to customers as there is a deadline for when the booth must be built by that day.
The next day Pat is at the booth bright and early putting the finishing touches on the booth, making sure the demos are loaded and everything is ready for when the show opens.
That afternoon Pat is joined by the other sales staff to greet customers at the booth and show off their company's products. The show goes on for the next two days and they all collect many leads and meet new customers.
When the show closes on the last afternoon Pat's teammates leave and host their new customer for dinner and further discussions about their IoT needs. But Pat must stay behind and wait for the shipping crates, dismantle the booth and then pack and ship the booth back to headquarters.
